Maxime DAVOUST - “Raku Kinstugi Head”
2023, Ceramic Sculpture, 23 cm, unique edition.
Maxime Davoust, a passionate sculptor, devoted twelve years to perfecting his art thanks to free courses at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. In 2021, he was honored with a pewter medal by the Academy of Arts-Sciences and Letters.
However, his artistic quest also took him to Sofia, Bulgaria, where he studied sculpture with Ivan Kulinski, thus enriching his artistic background.
Maxime Davoust's artistic approach is an ingenious fusion between the classic and the modern. Its goal is to build a bridge between the past and the present. He is inspired by universally recognized antique sculptures as well as famous paintings, which he reinterprets with a touch of Art Deco.
By using various materials, colors and formats, Maxime Davoust strives to make art accessible to a large and diverse audience.
His work embodies the heritage of classical art while providing a contemporary perspective, creating works that transcend time and arouse varied emotions in those who contemplate them. Maxime Davoust is a sculptor who breaks the boundaries between eras and styles, offering a unique look at art that seduces and inspires.
